I listened to a recording of this work while in the military in Tacoma, Washington back in 1959 and just fell in love with it. When I returned home in 1960 to Maryland one of the first things I did was to have a record store order me a copy, And I've played it every Easter season, I was never blessed to sing the work (I was a choral sibger for 31 years), but I did attend a performance once by the Cathedral Choral Society under J. Riley Lewis. Happy and blessed Easter and music by Bach.
