I recorded an insane fugue for piano

Recorded at home on December 30th, 2020. I'd say I've been working on the movement as a whole for about 12 hours now. This is from Samuel Feinberg's Piano Sonata No.3, 3rd Movement.

Just recording this section because I'm pretty sure when I put everything together, it'll be hard to keep stamina up and avoid more noticeable mistakes.

This fugue is an absolute monster. It is such an amazing privilege to be able to render this. I get so many chills whenever I play through this fugue to the end of the piece.

Also, I just realized... my hands look like they are moving faster than real time, even though nothing is sped up...

(If you see any glitches in the video, it's because I recorded this on a whim and didn't have anyone to flip pages so I cut out the few seconds that I took to flip pages)

your performance of this as well as hamelin’s inspired me to take up the task of learning this piece - I hope I can learn it to the same level of mastery that you exhibit here

Feinburg was a mad man in the best way possible. Such an underrated composer (and this is a fantastic recording, the clarity of your playing is great!!)

Non mais franchement, si c'est l'une des plus merveilleuses fugues que je connaisse, c'est aussi l'une des plus difficiles... Mais vous la maîtrisez pourtant comme si elle était facile... Vous me bluffez... Bravo, je suis jaloux 😭 J'adore cette sonate, merci pour votre partage !

Your playing is simply amazing! You bring such clarity, warmth and beauty amongst that maelstrom of notes.
I also love Feinberg's 9th which to my ears sounds simiar in spirit to Debussy's Ondine and Szymanowsky's Metopes. It has fantastic pianistic brilliance shot through with shafts of irredesent light which is a breath of fresh air from most of the other sonatas.
It doesn't contain a fugue but I can imagine it sounding fabulous under your fingers.
Thank you for your dedication to such an underrated composer and I'm so looking forward to the second part!

Respect, I can't imagine how long it took to learn then play it at such high speed. And it sounds impressive too, especially the part plagiarized from Chopin's 2nd sonata finale (kidding) :)

Feinberg, Sorabji, Roslavets? Maybe you should try Yedidia's 3rd Sonata, then 5th!! Only 1 recording has even been made and it's on YT!

1:06 reminds me of Bartoks first Etude in his 3 Etude set but on crack

Do you only like contemporary stuff? Do you enjoy the classical stuff?
