"Transformation" is a song from the movie Brother Bear. It was written by Phil Collins and performed by the Bulgarian Women's Choir for the film. The lyrics are sung in the Inupiat language (also spelled Inupiaq)

English Translation:
Come with me, I'll take you now
To a place that you fear
For no reason why
Your heart has turned away from me
And I will make you understand

CHORUS:
Everything will become clear to you
When you see things through another's eyes
Everything will become clear to you
Whatever's meant for you, you will find

Come with me, I'll take you there
To a place where you'll see
Everything you need to be the one you need to be
And all of those things that you feared
Will disappear from you in time

Knowing just what the lyrics the spirits are singing mean changes the whole tone of the film. The English version of the song is a more or less straight translation from what I have found. The spirits aren't punishing Kenai for killing the bear. Deaths happen, and so does killing. No... What Kenai did was worse than just killing a bear. He killed her out of HATE. He betrayed the very core of his being and his totem... He entirely lost his way and himself. Sitka wasn't punishing him... Sitka was placing Kenai back on the path he was supposed to follow and showing him how to be who he was meant to be. If that meant turning Kenai into a bear... So be it. It was just big bro Sitka trying to help his brother out out of love for him. The lyrics say as much:
'Come with me, I'll take you now to a place that you fear. For no reason why, your heart has turned away from me, and I will make you understand.
(chorus) Everything will become clear to you when you see things through another's eyes. Everything will become clear to you, whatever's meant for you, you will find.
Come with me, I'll take you there, to a place where you'll see all the things you need to be the one you need to be. And all of those things that you fear will disappear from you in time. (Chorus repeats)."

This was the strongest moment in the film for me besides the ending. This song and animation just never ceases to amaze me. Stunning!

Once the lights appear, I always wonder what's going through Kenai's mind, even before Sitka shows up. He's been raised his whole life on the stories of those lights touching the Earth, this is his spirituality and religion right here, in front of him, just as he's always been told. It has to be an absolutely incredible feeling

How is this not everyone's favorite movie ever?!

That look Sitka gives Kenai is just one of such hurt. For being silent he portrays the emotion so well. Hats off to the animators in this scene.

I don't want this movie to suffer the live-action remake treatment. I saw Brother Bear in theaters as a young adult, then I bought it on DVD and watched it too many times to count. It's an amazing movie with a great story and some breathtaking animation. It's not the greatest Disney movie ever, but it means a lot to me. Please don't ruin another one for me, Disney.

I remember playing this scene over and over again on DVD over and over again (and I'm still doing it here). This is, hands down, the best transformation scene ever! I wish this movie got more love though...

This entire scene is just BREATHTAKING, seriously why does the most underrated disney movies, treasure planet, atlantis and brother bear each have like this one BREATHTAKINGLY amazing scene, this one, the crystal chamber, and the final scooter scene across the collapsing planet in treasure island.... Man I just, , , , adore those 3 disney gems, and I miss 2d animations from disney so much... God I love this movie so much.

Brother Bear is one of my favorite disneys of all time. I already love Phil Collins on the score, but the Hungarian Women's Choir voices in this scene, alongside the enchanting visuals, just take my breath away each time. Also I love that this movie doesn't have a villain per se, instead the negative driving force behind the plot is mainly tragedy: Sitka's death along with Koda's mother's, Kenai's pride, followed by guilt when he fully realizes the consequences of what he has done, and Denahi's thirst for revenge fueled by grief and an ironically understandable misunderstanding.

Brother Bear - It's a sacred Eskimo curse that the Great Spirits of the Northern Lights place on top of the mountain where the lights touch the earth, and it says that the Great Spirits will punish whoever kills an animal out of hatred which upsets them by turning them into an animal.
