COP26: Climate summit overruns as delegates haggle over deal

The main sticking points? How tough the language should be around the phasing out of fossil fuels, how to make the carbon trading scheme fair and what support poorer countries should get from richer ones to adapt.

Let's be realistic. Climate change is a natural process that always has been there, sometimes slow, sometimes fast, currently accelerated by humans, in the past strongly accelerated by volcanoes.

We are in the warm period of the last ice age (yeah the ICE AGE is still going as long as there is permanent ice on the south & north pole). It is inevitably getting warmer, the water is rising and there is nothing we can do against it, it would be "taking action against nature", we can only slow down the process somewhat, to think we can stop nature is delusional. climate is never static, it always is changing.

Some coastal regions and islands are going to disappear, as they have in the past. And in the distant future, once the next cool period or even next ice age starts, the water level is going to sink and those regions will reappear, as they have in the past.

People need to realize that Earth had many "faces" over the last millions and billions of years. Earth as we know it today is only a small glimpse of the big picture, ever changing...no matter whether we like it or not. Climate change is the modern days "original sin", as if we humans invented it... nonsense. Scientific evidence doesn't lie, there were many ice ages on Earth and there will be many more.

What we can do is control and reduce the massive pollution of nature that we humans evidently do, we should ADAPT to our changing climate, not FIGHT IT at all costs. again, we cannot stop nature.
