I have grown up with The Jam and of course Paul Weller, I couldn’t pick any one album or track as my favourite probably because of my ever changing moods. He seems to have written about the right things at the right time for me, anybody remember their version of Heatwave or Away from the Numbers? Paris Match and Woodcutters son? Anyway thanks Paul, your music has been a good reflection of my life from the fire in my belly, the fight for justice, love, relationship and oh yes getting older!

The heavenly sounds of this horn intro from outer space comes to my ear and I can‘t help but feel water coming to the wrinkles of my eyes. This is what the Great Man does: Bringing a fullgrown German a thousand miles away to tears with his sheer power of words and melody. I‘m glad and I‘m thankful that in 1993 a good friend of mine introduced me to the marvellous world of Paul Weller. I can‘t wait to get my preordered Deluxe copy of An Orchestrated Songbook!
