Having studied OT Hebrew (and Modern), I can share this about Psalm 22 "they pierced my hands and my feet" (Psalm 21 in LXX). There is at least one manuscript (arguably two) discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls that has this rending in Hebrew. Now we get to the part where knowledge of Hebrew matters to illustrate just how SMALL... miniscule of difference there is between the MT Hebrew reading and the Hebrew that reflects the LXX Greek translation... it is a straight vertical line that makes one letter called VAV ו <־ <-- that is in the MT, but half a vertical line from the top down that makes the letter YOD --> י

Now more could be said, that would require a bit of an explanation on Hebrew language basics to be able to follow the controversy... but suffice it to say that the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran, predating Jesus of Nazareth's birth, give some credence to both Justin Martyr's and Tertullian's accusations that the Jews changed many Messanic scriptures to reduce the number of Jewish converts to Christianity. Many of these Jews could have read them in Hebrew or the Greek LXX ... there were so many more prophecies then than we have today. I find it so interesting as I read the ANFs for example, Irenaeus starts quoting a compelling Messanic prophecy and when I try to find it, in the many bibles or even on the web... no evidence other than the Early christian writings. I am stunned by that!! Some powerful prophecies existed back then. No wonder Apollos and Paul and Barnabas were having so much success and getting stoned for it.

“Justin Martyr wasn’t reading the New Testament? “ Did I hear that correctly? I’m stunned this man would make a statement like that - the New Testament did not exist at the time of Justin Martyr

Is it true Justin never made reference to any of Paul's writings -- that he did not acknowledge Paul?

he could not have gone to the New Testament because there was no New Testament in the middle of the 2nd century.
