Job Search Tips (Part 13): How to not get hired

Now you’re probably thinking, why would I want to know how to not get hired? Well, you might be guilty of these job search mistakes and not even know it! Check out these don’ts that will definitely cost you the job.

Show up late.

Time is money and employers don’t have any to waste. The last thing you want to do is keep them waiting when you’re trying to make an awesome first impression. Fashionably late doesn’t exist in interview time.

Be brutally honest.

Save your no filter approach to your Instagram pictures.

Have a bad attitude.

Being a Negative Nancy won’t get you hired. The employer will assume that’s the same way you will treat the customers.

Be unprofessional.

If you’re not presenting yourself in a professional manner, whether it’s your outfit, email or social media, the employer won’t want you representing their company.

To try and keep this simple make sure you sound and act professional otherwise you two wont talk keep phones and other devices silenced during the interview and if you can’t make it let the interviewer know asap through contact or email make sure you answer the questions properly and professionally do not give them ten word answers

I am panicking. I missed my job interview. I got an email yesterday saying I had one the next day at 11:00 AM, but I just read it a few hours after the interview. It was very irresponsible of me, but I really want another chance.
Is it too late to get another interview?

What if I had trouble answering specific questions during a interview?Like if I never had a job before and they ask me to name a time where I provided excellent service or a time where I didn't get along with a coworker?If I said something that aren't quite work experiences and were school related or volunteer related is that another way to not get hired?
