The saddest part of the movie is when the guy who is dying of AIDS in the corridor of the AIDS hospital says to him: "eo", and Freddie, who has just found out that he is going to die, says "eo" back to him

1:52 - 2:15 Freddie’s Ay-Oh with the teenager always pulls on the heartstrings 💔 😭

In my opinion, the scene between the teenager that has Kaposi’s sarcoma on his face and Freddie is not only a connection between the two, but also symbolic:

Freddie has just found out that he has AIDS and his time on Earth is limited. Him walking towards the light is almost like he’s accepted his fate and ready to pass on, like he’s ready to go whenever; however, the teenager singing, “Ay-oh” to him is a wake-up call back to reality and a way of conveying to Freddie that he still has more to give with the unknown amount of time he has left.

I grew up in the 60s and really didn't give Queen much attention, other than knowing some of their songs. Then I saw the recent movie Bohemian Rhapsody. The guy who played the part of Freddie was phenomenal. Since then I've been listening to Queen's music and can understand why they had such a huge following. I give the movie five stars.

This is just heartbreaking to me…
The fact that he knew there was nothing he could do.
There was no cure.
There was no way out of it.
There was no prevention.
He became a patient.
He was slowly dying.

He knew he had to accept that he is slowly dying and that there is nothing he could do about it. His time already started to fade away.

Yet, Who Wants To Live Forever is played in the background. This just symbolizes how he wasn’t ready to die, but during the end of the song, he just accepts his fate…
It is impossible for me to not cry during this scene.

RIP Freddie Mercury, legend and a beautiful, talented soul ❤️

Such a moving part of the film. My favourite part of the film too!

The part where the teenager says "Eh-Oh" as Freddie walks past him has to be THE most wholesome moment in the entire movie.
AIDS was looked at as an immediate death sentence from simply just Touching a person infected with it. This point in time, there was not a lot of research done on it. All the rhetoric that spread only linked it with Gays, and made the gay community that much more taboo.
You can tell this teenager really felt seen and understood. Though he may not have immediately known what Freddie was there for, but to see a beloved global celebrity in the same hospital as you, possibly going through the same emotional stress as you, and then have that celebritiy's rhythmic catchphrase repeated back to you as a sign of Hope.... has got to feel pretty damn good and encouraging.

I can’t imagine what it must be like knowing that if you have AIDS literally anything as small as a common cold could kill you because of how fragile your immune system is.
The anxiety, the stress and paranoia. And today there’s still no true way to combat AIDS, we still don’t know exactly what to do

A great song written for the epic film, Highlander (1986).

The moment when Freddie’s voice is beginning to sing during the scene when he gets the diagnosis is very emotional 🥲

Seeing Freddie laying in bed brings it home that we are all truly lonely in this life.
