Unprepared smoke shop owners acting surprised, when this has been happening for years, neighbors saying they’re just minding their business while one man was violently whipped in the head and one shot, shows why this happening, no one seems to care or is prepared or can remember what happened yesterday 🤷🏻‍♀️

A couple smoke shops here in Queens have doors that are only opened by the clerk if you want to get in or out and they stand behind [presumably bulletproof] glass with just a small slot to pay and grab your goods. You can’t run these places like it’s just a bodega. I hope more protective ways for smoke shops to operate comes from this bc there have been A LOT of similar incidents like this one in 2023 alone.
