Brock Purdy's passer rating rank varies depending on the season and the metric used:
Single-season passer rating: Purdy's 119.0 passer rating in 2023 ranks fifth in NFL history.
Career passer rating: Purdy's career passer rating is 104.5.
Passer rating through first 25 career starts: Purdy's 112.6 passer rating through his first 25 career starts ranks first, ahead of Patrick Mahomes' 112.5.
Passer rating in 2024: Purdy's passer rating in 2024 is 96.1.
Purdy has also made history with his passer rating:
He was the first 49ers quarterback to have a passer rating of 158.3 or higher since Joe Montana in 1989.
He was one of only three quarterbacks under 24 in NFL history to have a passer rating of 158.3 or higher.
He became the first 49ers quarterback to have a passer rating of 140.0 or higher in back-to-back games since Alex Smith in 2012.

Can’t stand the speculation on injuries in this social media era.

Hey Rich, I’m grateful the news on Brock Purdy’s elbow isn’t anything close to your lighting on this take (video). Just kidding, of course! From a fan of your Redding, CA days and now a resident of Chico, Cali, baby. Looking forward to 2025 and a SF 49ers resurgence. Happy New Year to you and your staff… Cheers!

Regardless of the extent of the injury; Start Mordecai next week & final game.. the other two backup QB’s are free agents..
Praying Brock will be fine; Draft another young QB in the 6th or 7th round like Tommy Mellott from Montana State 👍🏻

Analysts: "They need to find a QB that fits the team and wins games before paying him." <Sam Darnold / Brock Purdy comes along, fits the team and wins games> Analysts: "Yeah, I dunno, maybe they should draft a QB." For crying out loud! Pay Sam Darnold! Pay Brock Purdy! They are exactly who you wished for, and you have them right now. Meanwhile, teams like CLE and NYJ and DEN pay guys like Watson and Rodgers and Wilson who were bad for their teams all around, while other teams are perpetually searching.

They'll just adjust the guarantee of his contract to be lower than other QB's but build in a ton of incentives that he can make up for. I don't see his contract negotiation being the issue everyone else makes it out to be. Kid's gonna be set for life anyway.

Local YouTube Talking heads were screaming their heads off that it's coaching malpractice to play Purdy for these meaningless games! It's idiotic for Kyle to book injuries into the next season from this miserable one!

Brock is fine, Rich. How's Aaron Rodgers and the Jets doing?
Oh wait...

I find it amusing that Purdy specifically mentioned that he didn't tap out of the game.

When Shanahan abandons the run, gets pass happy

Why is it that Kyle Shanahan is never held responsible for consistently getting all his good players injured? He does it every other year, and no one in the media says anything about it. And whether it’s his training staff, that he hired, being terrible, or if it’s the style he plays, it’s Kyle’s fault. You notice how the actual great coaches manage to have fewer injuries than the rest of the league. That’s not a coincidence.

A combination of injury recovery, O-line draft picks, FA pick-ups, trades and the schedule attendant to their finishing position will put them back into the NFC championship game and Super Bowl contention. Purdy will be the niner QB for the next 10 years.

It is a bruised elbow, he is done for the season. No need to play sunday even if healthy

Purdy isn’t on Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Lamar level. Even Baker is having a better season than Purdy without his top two receivers for majority of the season. It’s ok to 2nd guess about giving Purdy elite QB money.

Turns out Purdy's elbow is going to be fine. 0-/

Sit him. It’s pointless to risk injury to win meaningless games and worsen draft position.
