Hi Mauve, thank you so much for sharing, I always find your choices very interesting.

Don’t know what’s inside the Elsa Morante, but the fluttering of its pages sure sound good :)
(I have a used copy of “Aracoeli” but not got to it yet).

I’ve just backed out of “Song of Salomon”, Toni Morrison and I don’t click, I didn’t like “Beloved” either.
Otherwise I loved the books I’ve read this month : Their Eyes Were Watching God (I was afraid the dialect would be incomprehensible to me but on the contrary, I didn’t find it difficult and found the dialogues very musical) ; The Street by Ann Petry (a social noir in 40’s Harlem) and Giovanni’s Room (so beautiful, so sad).

Book haul! I’m gonna add the Laing books to my list. Sound interesting. I’m still working on “Milkman” (so good). I think after that I’m going back to scifi for a bit (not sure what though, any good scifi recs??) and then I’ll finish the Outline trilogy this summer 😄

I loved Liars!!!! The husband is so terrible and there was too much that I found relatable.

I'm currently reading Live and Let Die by Ian Fleming. I want to read all of Ian Fleming's James Bond novels by year's end. In my to be read is also the ABCs of Anarchism by Alexander Berkman.

Something about the way you speak and the lower half of your face reminds me SO much of Alexa Demie!!
