I was there - the Falcons were just amazing and the first time I had heard LS3/5a speakers (although I used to own similar sized Harbeth HL-P3ES which never worked for me). Almost bought the Falcons there and then.

Taking into account three factors (YouTube limits, reliability of the sound take itself, and the bizarre scenario involving a D/A conversion, a new A/D conversion in the take and another D/A conversion for listening, plus the fact I am listening to a pair of "virtual" speakers with a pair of real AKG K1000 headphones driven by the speaker outputs of an original but excellent, trust me, Cyrus II Special Edition), the results are quite amazing, to say the least.
I'm 60 and along my 40 years or so of "audiophile" life I've never had the opportunity to listen in person to a pair of LS 3/5A, so my judgment in this occasion must be taken with a grain of salt.
Anyway...: Ashtonishing!

In my view they're voiced "hotter" in the treble that the really old seventies Rogers LS3/5a's for example.
Public demand for ever increacing "clarity" since then, might be the reason Falcon puts less attenuation on their T27's.
Perhaps being the fact, speakers with the utmost apparent "clarity" at shows and/ or in a buying situation wins the race for the customers credit card.
That' s not saying these Falcon speakers are all bad. But tipping the sound balance comes at price: Less apparent warmth/ bottom end weight for one.
Real many people seem to like that. I don't.
Having owned 1978 15 ohm Rogers LS3/5A's, now owning the above speakers, besides lately having succesfully rolled my own LS3/5A authentic all the way down to the correct attenuation for the T27 (per my original 15 ohm Rogers)
Just stating the fact that these, otherwise lovely executed, LS3/5A's are voiced differently to the very first original BBC LS3/5A's

How loud can you safely play a.ls3/5a in terms.of decibel.if given a properly powered amplifier. I like this speaker, but im worried I may listen.too loud. I tend.to listen at 80db usually my highest
