A Cycling Journey - Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom

A slow meditative journey into the Mandelbrot Set. This video is much longer and more relaxing than the videos I usually make, so be sure to check out the shapes of the Mandelbrot features as we dive really deep. Gentle colour cycling is added to give a little more movement. This one is probably ideal to play on your large TV, and let it roll in the background, perhaps with your own choice of music. It is incredible that all of this is born from a simple mathematical function. It really is just a pattern that repeats itself infinitely. But humans took cold, infallible, certain data, and added colors and angles. Suddenly, what seems like chaos is just the same pattern but in different iterations. I don't like to get all Carl Sagan narrates the universe, but in all actuality a fractal is directly correlated to life. We never see the true pattern because there is no end to the pattern. The more you learn and know, the more you realize you don't know. Like the fractal. Repeating itself into patterns forever.

This is very relaxing for me and my kid. And my 2 yr old likes to say the colors out loud and finally goes to sleep. Both of us are engaged at different levels with the same content and the get relaxed with the background music.
