Mosquitos are a rather small and insignificant subfaction in dst, only spawning from swamp ponds and only at night Also dealing insignificant damage and popping once they attack a creature enough times.

However thanks to wurts skill tree, she becomes the one character in the roster who can create alliances with mosquitos with a single tool. with this, anyone can be seen as neutral and furthermore allowing them to more affectively use wurts new mosquito grenade.

The mosquito bomb is essentially a throwable bee mine that launches mosquitos instead of bees and can be used in virtually the same manner though it also temporarily befriends all mosquitos thrown. This makes them great for helping to deal with non aoe bosses like moosegoose, and enraged Klaus.

I used them to rush the ruins and believe me they where useful, literally i didn't have to touch any clockwork, just my own inner demons (mosquitoes are atheists and won't help me fight shadows)

I feel like Mosquitos might be better than bees in situations where be mines require more prep if used, still anything that makes the swamp less deadly is good in my book

Plus the mosquitoes have an added Bonus of being an Effective Healing salve in Dire situations

I wish they gave Wurt a way to farm them more effectively. Skeeter bombs are cool and all, but you need to: Live in or near the swamp, have a supply of Beefalo Wool, and spend dusk running around the swamp collecting mosquitos.

Compared to building a merm village, I don't know if Skeeter Bombs are worth the time. I'd trade Fertilizzzer for a Mosquito Box that lets me farm mosquitos any day of the week.

I find mosquitoes useful only when going to ruins, otherwise I prefer focusing on building my holy merman empire. (They will soon betray and stab me to death)

the only downside i see in them (besides being vulnerable to AoE) is that is not very good to use these in combination with merms cuz the mosquito might accidentally aggro on them while you are throwing the bomb
