I found your article about emotional intensity on PsychologyToday when I was searching for more information about why I am this way, but I realized I couldn't think of a psychological term for it. I started crying while reading it because it accurately describes me down to the very last detail. I thought that there was something wrong with me because no one else understands me. I feel so intensely to the point where I feel like I'm dying on the inside whenever someone I truly love and care about leaves me or stops talking to me. I am also currently majoring in psychology, and I know that I need to help myself before I can help others.
I just wish I could find a psychologist for myself that specializes in this field because I want to cultivate this condition and turn it into something good. I also want someone to talk to who actually understands what I'm going through.

Thank you for this... There is very little information about emotional intensity in gifted learners. I hate the word "dramatic" for my daughter because it goes deeper than seeking attention. she is also a red head and for awile i thought maybe it was part of it. Do you know of any resources or ideas to help young children manage their deep emotions?

Hi Imi, what exactly is the difference between HSP, emotional intensity and INFJ? I want to identify myself but I don't know exactly what the differences is between these? I am emotional intense, 100%, but is it the same as HSP or INFJ? I did a lot of research but I can't find the answer. Thank you so much for everything! I learn a lot from you ❤❤
