Damn this game was impressive by the islanders. They had almost no offense after the first but their defense was unreal. It felt like we were in the neutral zone for more than 20 minutes. Glad we were able to pull this one out in the end but wow the Islanders have the best defense in the league (aside from the blues).

While I’m disappointed in my isles for taking the L they proved they can hang with the defending Stanley cup champions and that’s something they can hopefully build on and once they start a chemistry with Pageau in the lineup it’ll be a great offense. Go isles. Nice game and win blues

This game had it all. Pageau with the Isles, and suddenly they have a defense!?! Goalie's making key saves. And Parayko going on offense! The playoffs are here early!

Sometimes the best defence is offence...Islanders went into full turtle mode after they went up. They didn't even deserve the 1 point, the only person that deserved the point was Greiss.
