On 7 May 2024, Marcus Högberg left his Swedish team, and signed a two-year, $1.55 million contract with the New York Islanders on 7 May 2024. Högberg has gone 0-8 with a 4.375 GAA over his last 8 NHL starts. I can easily suggest a $750K no-brainer savings to former Goalie Roy and numb puck Lou. This guy is not an NHL-level goalie.
