I grew up with Lauren, we went to a small Christian school together. She was one of my best friends. It sucked when she got as sick as she did in 8th grade and so continued on to finish by home schooling. I was blessed to take her to junior prom, and to be close with her family. I had no idea at the time that her talent would skyrocket to such an awe inspiring caliber, and it makes me a bit of a cheerleader for her.

I served in the military and was wounded a couple of times in the Middle East. I had over 50 surgeries. During that time, I lost my wife and then my son. I have seen some of the worst evils and horrors this world can offer and when it couldn’t get any worse I lost my family. I doubted the existence of God. Lauren’s music helps me to feel again and give me that glimmer of hope. I have been so lost that I wasn’t even sure that I had much worth living for. But if I can help someone else feel just a little better, just the way her music helps me then I can pay it forward. God bless.
