The legend of Mr. Green lives on. This is simply perfect playing. Not many solo guitar pieces have ever reached this level of mastery.

The feelings of nostalgia and longing he was capable of evoke through his mastery on the guitar are otherworldly, the Master Ted Greene. He makes my spirit more soft and weepyish, more often than not.

Thanks for the transcript Fran!

Continuing my Ted Greene's 'Solo Guitar' re-edition after a 2 year break, this time with my all time favorite guitar arrangement. I've been practicing this arrangement for like 7 years and I still play it really sloppy... man that's hard. I've added a bunch of corrections since so I think It's now easier to play and way more coherent. Have fun!

One time I recorded a mixtape to a girlfriend who only knew how to hurt me and closed it with this song. I did it out of love, but she broke up with me some time after that after that. Some months too late, she tried to get in touch with me, and after that she did a little gesture, which will only be known to the 2 of us, that made clear I would forever be with her. I think Mr. Greene had something to do with it. For those sensitive to music, this little piece of his is obviously about dignified closure and painful longing.

I can't thank you enough for your work on these Ted Greene transcriptions. I've enjoyed working through Both Sides Now and Miss Jones for several months now and maybe someday I'll have them down. But with his books and these transcriptions, I've learned more fretboard harmony in the last year than in the previous 40. Thanks again.

Damn it, Ted… this is impossible to play. Why would you create something so beautiful that no one else will ever get to enjoy playing. Thanks for the transcription anyway, Francois. Out of curiosity, are these the fingerings you use?

That’s the prettiest “sloppy” guitar playing I have ever heard in my long life. I’ll take another serving of beautiful.

How artificial harmonics are played on the guitar?

This whole thing is transcribed a half step down

Think of this. Then think of rap, John Mayer, and Garth Brooks, and those trash acts on SNL !! It can almost make me puke knowing that these idiots and charlatans are lauded by the public and Ted Greene isn't even in their vocabulary....
