I love the small detail that Cendrillon's voice is more soft and reassuring, while in her fake awakening it's more crude and mocking. It shows how Sumire was not being truthful to herself and it shows through her persona. After becoming reassured and accepting Kasumi's death, Kasumi's faith in Sumire took the form of Cendrillon. Pretty interesting way to show how Kasumi's spirit never left Sumire.

Is it me or her awakening face is even more terrifying than Joker or Haru's blood faces? It looks like she's going to murder someone with that.

I noticed on her first awakening, she screamed "I am THE Kasumi Yoshizawa!" and there was no blood underneath her mask whatsoever. I was disappointed.
...Later on, we got THIS scene.
It shows her ripping off the mask of Kasumi, which is so stuck to her that it was hard and painful to remove.

Anyone else notice how Cendrillon represented the glass slippers? Cendrillon is first destroyed after she went berserk and then Kasumi's soul became Cendrillon once again. It's like how one of Cinderella's glass slipper was destroyed but she pulls the other one that was hidden to prove that she was the one who danced with the prince.

Something to notice is when Kasumi first awakens her Persona, she pulls her mask off rather easily, and there was no blood on her face, indicating that this wasn't normal.
But when she awakens again as Sumire, her REAL Mask appears.

I loved Violet's "The weak, insecure Sumire, dies today!" That was a great way to translate what it really was in Japanese, maybe even better. And the real Kasumi's spirit reaching out to her. I wonder what she was whispering, but she'll always be with her sister now as the new Cendrillon.

I’d like to think the real Kasumi assumed the form of Sumire’s Personas, Cendrillon, Vanadis and Ella, so she can watch over and protect Sumire during her darkest times.

I kinda like there was a bit of hesitation from Cendrillon. Knowing that Sumire hesitated before and submitted to Maruki, Cendrillon took notice and decided not to appear or it could be the case Sumire was still shaken in the inside and Cendrillon was just unstable. I just like how this scene can be interpreted in the view of the shadow and the ego.

You know what I noticed, when Kasumi summoned her persona she didn't rip off her mask to draw blood, it was a little too perfect, no pain to summon her persona but here she finally truly rips off her mask blood finally drawn

In regards to the video, the performance here was done really well! I also noticed that Laura made sure that her voice tone changes when "Kasumi" becomes her true self which is a nice touch!

When "Kasumi" awakend there was no blood. I found that pretty weird. Now it makes so much sense.
There was no blood in "Kasumi" awakening because she didn't show her true self.

I think it's beautiful and meaningful to the story that Kasumi is actually Sumire's persona and her will for rebellion after she decides to live as Sumire and move forward. I really hope we'll get anothe game with KaSumi in it. She is my fav.

It's so poetic that when Sumire reaches out to Cendrillon, the image of Kasumi reaches back, Kasumi literally being the "persona" Sumire put on to face the hardship of reality. Before, it was artificially induced by Maruki, but now, fully recognizing her true self, Sumire puts on the brave face of Kasumi out of inspiration and a conviction to carry out their dream herself.

Always liked ryuji but I loved his badass moment of protecting crow and joker when he snapped out of his perfect reality, and he's the first to try again for violet here. Dude's the realest one at times lol

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the multi-layered speech Sumire gives here.
“I hung my head low and took your hand.” Talking about Maruki, how instead of facing what happened to her sister, she hung her head low and just accepted what Maruki gave her.
“I knew deep down all along, pretending to be Kasumi was never the right way.... the weak insecure, Sumire, dies today!” Talking about herself, realizing that she made a mistake in pretending to be her sister, but in that mistake, she will face her insecurities and deal with them, starting today.
“You were the one.. the only one who stayed true to yourself.” Talking about Joker, while she and her teammates all accepted the reality Maruki gave to them, while Akechi lead a double life, Joker remained the constant throughout the whole story, through Shido, Akechi and Maruki, he always remained himself, never changing.
“How else can we make our dream come true?” Talking about her sister, realizing now that her sister is gone, it’s up to her to make their dreams a reality and she’s going to do it.
