Klee and Rafi there are a lot of You Tube videos dealing with art, out there, but none like yours! Both of you have created something amazing and special! I just want to tell you how inspiring you are in your videos! You’re very real . I enjoy ya’ll!! 😊❤️

One more get a lot of my customers from teaching. I teach art everywhere I can. It helps my bank, but it also exposes people to the process of art, the struggle. Usually after learning what I battle to make a "simple" piece, they never question the price again. This advertising is fun and pays me.

When I first started selling my art I was shocked by how much I had in common with my collectors. They are my fellow weirdos. I call them Peculiars and they love it. I'm an introvert so it's a little scary to open up to people, but I've met some awesome people, including one of my closest friends, from selling art. Love your videos! 🖤🖤

That’s it I’m changing my job title to collector detector. 😂 I dare someone to make a shirt and wear it to an art festival 😜

I was watching whatever videos came up in my starting online selling on Etsy search when someone's video mentions an artist's video where this husband and wife team break down the frustrations of the new Etsy policies; now I've watched 90% of Rafi Was Here videos.

So awesome story that happened today. I had a person contact me looking for prints from my paintings that she saw a year ago! Exactly like what you are saying. I had it on display and she fell in love with my paintings.

I have to say I was absolutely thrilled to find you and Klee back when. It was definitely organic which is the best kind, anyway. Isn't that what they say about food? Lol You both are the best!!! Your advice is the best! Today's is no exception!!!

You bring up good points; I need to start a gallery on a website for my work, just so people can see it. Selling can come later; right now I want eyes on my work!

I like how you described your work and I never heard the term before when you said it was emotion-based and that you have an array of styles I'm only starting out but so far from what I've seen a lot of artists will try to find theirr style, stick with it and it eventually becomes their identity. In fact there are videos out there that suggest creating a boatload of Art and within that volume eventually your style will surface. But I like the idea of being able to use different styles and techniques that you like regardless of whether it was originally yours or was adopted from another artist or art movement

Word of mouth and reccomendations are also a good way to attract more collectors, customers and subscribers.
I found Your channel because Scott Serkland of Serkworks Art Labs mentioned you in his Etsy video and said good things.
I checked it out for myself and here i am.

I'm pretty sure this is the video that helped me to sell any art at all last weekend at the art fair in which I presented. SO THANK

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. Sort of adjacent topic but the two of you are the most genuine artists I've come across on youtube so far. I find there is a lot of emphasis on projecting a perfect appearance as an artist that ultimately results in a lot of people seeming fake. The downside is it also puts pressure on people who are still only considering if they want to show their work online to be "perfect" like those they are seeing. I just totally want to thank you two for being so down to earth. Your videos inspire me.

I haven't thought of them as collectors. But i do have some regulars i sell too at particular convention. I guess my own tip. Particular events you enjoy and are able to participate in yearly. That is a good spot too meet people, specially if it is a something kinda particular you do. I love comic and anime stuff, so whoever comes across my booth. We already have something in common to talk about or learn.

A Pleasant video with lots of good information straight from the heart thank you, you guys are a joy to watch. One of the best things you can do is to join a local art league or group. When I joined my first group all there was were a bunch of grey haired old ladies and one old man. I was definitely the odd “kid” out in the room, but people are people. Treat them as you would have them treat you and you can create a friendship with anyone! Then Volia! You are getting your work seen by others and maybe even selling some art too!

Great video!! Its hard putting myself out there in person and meeting with strangers about my art, but it's building more confidence in me and hopefully years from now I wont be so shy.

Rafi, Klee I loved this video. Actually I love most of your videos. But this one so much because I paint and draw what ever I feel like in that moment. My work is more “escape into another universe” and Rafi you just made that ok. Thank you!
