My buddies Allen and Tim and I once again hit the road, this time heading south to Texas. We ran with Edge Addicts on the Motorsports Ranch: Cresson 3.1 mile track. The first 30 seconds of the video is our outlap and on lap two, I managed to set a new personal best and improved by about three seconds. This was somewhat disappointing as we caught a slower car and the lap should have been in the two-minute twenty-seven range, at the very least.

It was rough going early on in the day, as all I had left in the tire inventory was some Michelin Pilot Sport S8M scuffs I'd picked up at the start of the season. In theory, with temps starting out at 59F, they should have been the faster tire as compared to the S9M hard compound, but I was on the struggle bus for at least the first three sessions.

I wrestled that old demon of both understeer AND oversteer at turn exit, so I had some make some changes. I added some camber up front, stiffened the front coil-overs and dropped tire pressures all around by 2lbs. Finally, the new compound tires came alive and I started to pick up some speed. Good times with great friends!
