I know the Project X is too stout for me now. I`m an older golfer and like the Project X LZ shaft in Mizuno JPX 921 Pro irons. I`ve been hitting the 5.5 it works well for my tempo and swing speed. It`s not too stiff and I could likely play a 6.0. I demo-ed the Project X IO shaft 5.5 in the Mizuno JPX 921 Forged iron and found it really different from the LZ. It is lighter in weight but I found it felt quite stiff. It`s winter so my golf muscles are not at their best, and was hitting inside on a launch monitor.

I really like Project X iron shafts and have played the 6.5 125 flex for a few years, I have tried some other tour weight shafts but the only other one that I could play is the KBS Tour VT 125 which feels a bit smoother than Project X 6.5 but is equally stout although it has a different profile with a really stiff handle and mid sections.
