I was planning on getting the kitchenaid mill, but then I learned about the mockmill kitchenaid attachment and was going to buy one. I went down the home mill rabbit hole though, I've finally decided on the mockmill 100.

I made my own grain mill from a commercial coffee grinder simply by modifying the burrs and it works great. There is nothing like a (relatively) slowly rotating large diameter burr of the proper geometry to produce powder that is fine enough for making great bread. That mill is exactly the right one to get if you are not handy grinding your own burrs like I am ;-)

I looked and looked and seen lots of Chinese (blender) type "mills" with high-speed motors, all the reviews mentioned over heating ETC, until I found the Mockmill. The reviews on this mill is all positive and with a reasonable price tag, I am waiting on delivery of a 100 to get here in a couple days.

the instructions are different for this thing wherever you read. I thought it was supposed to be turned on first, then grain added🤷‍♀️

Hmm, I thought we have to start the mill before we add grain, but in here Wolfgang just threw in the grain and then started the mill.

The mockmill is now more expensive than the KoMo. I just bought my mockmill and wish I got it when it was cheaper.
