Did you get the season 6 episode 14 the show name titled barts commet included in there that aired on February 5th 1995 predicting the event that happened in 2012 in Russia? I don't think I ever heard anybody talk about that one.

This TV show has been running for decades, pretty much every plot imaginable has been covered. Mathematically the real coincidence would be if you couldn't relate a current event to a Simpsons episode.

Also in Season 20 Episode 7 : Mypods and Broomsticks which was aired on Nov 30 2008, Homer goes to apologise to Basheer's mother, he accidentally say "praise be Oliver". When she corrects him, he says "We will look it up in the Corona."
