Thanks for watching!

I bought this old Iron and wanted to give it a nice Restoration. I started with disassembling the old iron. After that I restored mostly every part and gave the the metal parts a nickel plating. I renewed the heating coil and repainted the wood parts.
After reassembling the iron worked perfectly fine!

i really love how mr patina restores items. i like that they still have dents and imperfections that i think enhances our appreciation of the workmanship of the item (and the restorer).

Rowenta is still in the business of making irons. Pretty cool to see an old design!

Superb job! My mum had a very similar iron in the 1950’s with the plug coming from the top, black handle and the same heat setting switch. They must have been made like that world wide because I am from Australia. One thing I like about your restorations is that you wash things before you start! A lot of restorers don’t do this and I often wonder what kind of germs might be present. Thank you for an informative and riveting channel. 🤗🇦🇺

So nice to see an appliance, dating back to my childhood, being restored to appear nearly new. Well done.

Hurrah, it's Sunday and a new upload! Thank you for it. Great job again. Much worthier of your hard work than my brand new frying pan which my father had burned to a crisp as he opted for reheating his lunch himself for once and did not use the microwave but my new pan for some reason. And of course, he completely forgot about it until the house was full of smoke. I've had to spend 45 minutes sanding it today, after nothing else would work. I'd rather have restored an antique piece instead! Ah well, I'll leave that till next week-end then.

Nice attention to detail! You put a LOT of work into that little old iron. And, it would have been super easy to ruin that project by cracking or breaking the porcelain during disassembly or reassembly. Amazing job, sir!

Hey bro, once again a great video! High quality and of course impeccable craftsmanship. The nickel plating has been done great with a flawless result.

Thanks for bringing this back to its former glory. Rowenta still makes lovely irons, but the are priced above my pay grade. They can't hold a candle to your restored beauty.
