can you animate like a pro in ibispaint??? In this video I try out Ibispaint's new animation feature. I tried to explore the animation settings including frame per seconds, playback settings, onion skin, etc. For today's video, I'm animating Alhaitham from Genshin Impact! He always has a flat expression, so I thought it would be fun to animate different facial expression on his face. Overall, the animation feature in Ibispaint is so much fun, it's easy to understand for beginners too! Since this is an animation feature video, I didn't use the semirealistic approach for the art, instead I draw lineart and shade with cell shading.

Tip for animating eyes so it doesn't look so stiff.

When blinking, your eyes close quicker than they open, so add more frames for eye opening rather than closing.

I got a tip
There is something in animation calling easing
It’s basically like : less frames = faster // more frames = slower
So maybe when you animate the tongue thingy you could start with more frames then add less so it looks a little more natural
( I started animating like 2 days ago so I’m sorry if I got something wrong )

Here’s a tip- you actually can copy paste colors but it’s a lil time consuming I guess

You gotta hide the other layers except the one ya wanna copy paste.
Then you save it as an image and put the image in all the other frames.

It’s not the best method but it works, at least for me

Ive tried animation in ibis paint as like. Someone whos been practicing it for years as a hobby, and its pretty fun once you get the hang of it!! (esp frame by frame animations)
