The best "How-To" video of this radio I've run across so far. So many videos of the RF 919 are done by people who haven't a clue how to operate a shortwave receiver. You're the only one who detailed the use of the Pre-Selector (aka: Antenna Tuner) and the antenna selection switch on the back. Thanks for this video... nice work.

I don't understand, in 2024, making a 250€ radio witch mute on each step when you tune it. It's really something they have to upgrade.

It puzzles me why this radio has "soft " muting when the potential buyers this type of radio is aimed at don't like muting.

Very good review, but I miss the example of reception of civil aviation frequencies. You mentioned that you managed to hear some air communication even better than on the Quansheng K5, so I would like it if you could make and show some other comparison of these communications (Air-Band). Good to know SSB is quality - so many mid priced ssb radios have horrible tuning issues.

Nice video. I think that with all pros and cons considered I can say that I think I like the receiver. And the crickets near the end in the background semm to add a relaxing touch.

Hi great interesting video, I wonder how the rxer performs with external antenna in the bands . Ie if overloads at all, love the idea of the antenna trim knob, last time I saw that was in the Sony icf2001 . 73 mark

Thanks for the very comprehensive demo. Seems to be a very nice radio. Only odd thing is the antenna tuning.... why does it not know what frequency it is on and select the band itself with the microprocessor ? Why is there a manual switch ?
