Forest Fair 2011 Demolition Derby Heat 5 (Vans + 1 Truck)

Alright, there is a truck heat right after this that only featured 3 trucks, yet 1 single truck is in this full van heat. I dunno what's going on, someone explain it to me.

ANSWERED! "the one truck is a Ranger (light duty 1/4ton) where as the truck heat has larger 1/2 ton trucks. The ranger was a better fit with the vans whereas he'd be decimated with the larger trucks"

I've never seen a dustbuster van in a demo derby. I'm assuming it's sort of like a Lumina.

that black van was an Astro. Green was a Lumina APV

rollinlowford It's not that strange to put an Astro in with minivans, especially if they allow in a Ranger. Astros are based upon the S-10 platform, the GM equivalent of the Ranger. While not unibody, they are monocoque (unibody from the firewall back with a front subframe), and the full frame Ranger was allowed.
