One thing to be aware about when it comes to compatible products is that it’s vey different depending on your region. Here in Europe Homey is absolutly killing the competition in that category. So just give Homey some time to establish a network of users that are also developers and that will change also in North America.

Hey bro, can you make video how to connect Apple HomeKit by homey and try to control smart home in HomeKit with homy

Thanks for the follow-up!
Can you list or post the troubled devices you mentioned in your vid that don’t connect or don’t work well with Homey Pro?

Just curious, did you compared these systems with Home Assistant?

I switched from SmartThings to Homey Pro several months ago and haven't looked back. I did have to replace a few devices for compatibility, but was able to replace with inexpensive products that work just fine. Response time is much quicker, since many are locally controlled and Homey Pro has been much more reliable. Athom is also working on dashboards and my guess is they will be released by the end of the year. Athom also has much more communication with customers. They just launched a podcast. The community is very helpful as well.

The video I exactly needed considering I've been sitting on the idea of commiting to Homey Pro for a few weeks now. It was yourself than introduced me to the hardware!

I'm using the Hubitat at the moment, and its been great! I purchased a Home Assistant Yellow a few years ago when it was on Kickstarter, im thinking of moving over as homeassistant as it looks to have better community support. Whats your thoughts?

For the most part I’ve enjoyed your channel but I have to say, as a Smart Home YouTuber I can’t help but feel you’re behind the ball. What I mean is the Ultimate smart home control all comes down to Home Assistant. Homey Pro is something I’ve used for about a year. Home Assistant is where all serious smart home enthusiasts should be. Ultimate control!

Kind of intrigued by the link n link ISG as an option. My smarthings v2 is still working but need to decide to replace it newer version, hubitat, of linknlink. Homey is a bit too expensive and limited for devices still.

Great video! Reliable Homey Pro is indeed, and local! Yes the integration of different brands is limited. Devices from Philips Hue, IKEA, Aqara, Netatmo (radiator valves), INRR (WW/RGB Bulbs and smart plugs), Fibaro (multi sensors FGMS-001 (Z-Wave plus)) are compatible with Homey. Flows and advanced flows are powerful tools to build versatile automations.

Moved from Homeseer HS3 to Homey almost a month ago. It is great to be able to add all the wifi devices that HS didn't handle. All of the zwave switches and dimmers in my home are flavors of Jasco, be it GE, Honeywell or UltraPro. In HS you could not tell the difference in the sub-brands of Jasco. In Homey all the Jasco switches, no matter the flavor work OK. The GE dimmers perform as they should. The Honeywell and UltraPro dimmers in Homey have a dimming scale from 0 to 33%, where 33% is 100% brightness. I had purchased a pair of UltraPro next gen dimmers. Liked the upgrade, just didn't play well with Homey, sent them back, bought a Zooz 800LR dimmer and it has been OK. WYZE is a non-starter in Homey. I make the WYZE z-wave automation through Alexa. Now to figure out RATGDO with ESPHome or MQTT and Homey and solve the myQ issue.

Hey Brian,

When you started the migration of your z-wave devices, I assume it was a full reset of the device and add to Homey Pro as a new device? Or is there a quick way to “migrate” them?

Do you guys leave your Smartthings hubs (I have smartthings wifi) on just as Zigbee / Zwave repeaters? As i decommission, I may keep my hubs around for this.. but want to turn off the actual features..

Nice video Brian! Moving away from SmartThings is the right answer, but why not Home Assistant? It’s much more compatible and it’s become much more user friendly.

I use homey pro control for my home assistant. The Home Assistant community app works great.

Great video, Brian. Love the idea of the alarm system automatic on/off. Butnis it possible to automatically lock/unlock the front door (Aqara U100) with presence? That aloneight be worth the Homey hub price. Plus centralizing my automations instead of using Google/Amazon/Aqara.

Oh, and Go Oilers!
