As a Portuguese guy I love the ambition of what he said at the end! He wants to make it to the WC squad for Portugal and it’s a goal of his and I think he can do it! If he plays a decent bit for Liverpool I believe it’s possible. There are also rumours that Liverpool are considering loaning him out to my club FC Porto for a year which would be fantastic news for us Porto fans! If Porto get him on loan he’d most likely be a regular starter every week and he’d get Champions League football. If he goes to Porto and rips it up in the Primeira liga and Champions league he’d most definitely get a WC squad call up. If he stays at Liverpool and rips it up he’d also get a call up so I hope he’s able to do it! He’s a fantastic prospect for the future of the Portuguese national team!

He’s had an eerily similar pathway to Elliott. Both Fulham youngsters. Elliott broke into the Liverpool team after tearing up the championship all be it on loan at Blackburn and Carvalho will probably do something similar next season. We need more signings like this. Klopp won’t be around forever and the next manager will never be as good so the team is just going to have to be better to keep up. So grab a tonne of these potential stars like Elliott and Carvalho and let Klopp make them into world beaters and the next guy will have a top young team to work with.
