I’m in my senior year of high school and sometimes I just dedicate a day to cleaning the pottery room. Cleaning the bats is my favorite part. People don’t clean them and the clay on the bats usually go bone dry BUT I wipe them with a wet sponge and they go leather hard pretty quickly due to how thin the clay is. Seeing it crumble to the flat side of my wood rib is my favorite thing

This was me bit for pugging the clay for my ceramic teacher in high school I'd do it mostly during her lunch breaks which where after my lunch. But often I'd skipped lunch and just head in there waiting for her to finish her lecture for the day and let her kids get their clay and just go to town. A few kids would stare at me confused or judging me. Tho slowly developed respect to me as they saw the amount of clay I was cramming into that pugging machine. And once my final tri came around where I was in her ceramics three class I called fucking dibs on pugging lmao
