To me that is what is so amazing about Lennon. He wasn't technical like McCartney yet he still came up with these amazing modulations in his songs. It was all intuitive with him.

Now please explain this: How did someone who doesn’t read music, take any music theory or musical training classical or otherwise, come up with these complicated chord changes? Neither Lennon nor McCartney or Harrison read music or had any formal training and yet they composed brilliant melodies and had complex song structures and chords. Explain this to me please!
