Growing up, people expected my mom to babysit for free or nearly free because she "was at home anyways", even though she homeschooled three children and we were all 14 months apart. Plus she cleaned, cooked, did laundry, errands, etc.

Most of them were Christians too, and thought since my mom was a Christian that she'd do it.

This is how to solve this rental dilemma. Eviction notice presupposes that adults need some time to make housing arrangements. Soo instead of 30 days, make it 45 days so they have a little bit more than society expects grown adults to need. Every few days amend the same notice via text and send revised timeline so that they can visually see the clock ticking. Never allow yourself to forget to amend that post and thus give them a second to wonder if their guilt or pressure plan is working. Stick to that 45 days and keep amending that same notice. " 23 days remaining on your eviction deadline. Hope the housing search is going well. If you need some boxes or tape let me know..."

Before I ever had any job, I used to baby sit for $8 an hour. She was a very kind single mother, and I genuinely did really love her children. She was awesome though we went to a casino to swim in the pool all day, and she paid for my food and gave me $80 at the end of the day. Didn’t pay the best but I will always remember her kids and the fun we had. The only time it was acceptable for me to play hide and go seek.

I used to babysit my neighbors kids for free. Then again…I wasn’t legally able to work yet + lived right behind me so my mom was only 2 min walking distance away if I needed anything. I loved it. It was so easy. Was only like for them to go out to dinner. 2-5 hours. I babysat them when I was 10-14 years old. When I was 10 my older brother would come with or my younger sister. Kids babysitting kids lol

Why on Earth would anyone have a party so large for a four yr. old?

In the 80's when my kid was 6-11 yrs old, a babysitter was $15.00 and hr. Even paying that much, I came home to a messy home and jelly on the windows and sills. When I babysat in the 70's, I was paid $1.00 an hour, but for two kids, it was $2.00.

My sister moved back home to my parents and me, I was a teen back then She came back with 2 kids. A couple of weeks in, she shows us the pregnancy test, she had gone to the doctor and everything. My mom was dizzy and she said ''...well, you can count on us we won't leave you alone, if you choose to keep it'' ''Of course. I AM keeping it'' She already knew she was pregnant and didn't tell my parents, clearly. She wanted to be the center of attention, I adopted a dog and she was jealous of it because her pregnancy and the newborn wasn't the focus anymore. Once she had the kids she treated my mom like a nanny, she left diapers all over the house, and didn't let me eat because the food was for her and her kids supposedly. Me eating more than once a day was too much, her words. I ate eveything on the house, her words. Her kids took my stuff, my food multiple times.
We had a traumatic event, there was a gas explosion at night and we went to the neighbor. I was trying my hardest to not cry because we couldn't get in the house to get our pets out until the firefightes proved it safe, meaning if the house blew up my pets were dead. I was so exhausted, it was late at night, so I crossed my arms on the table and rested my head. She started YELLING that I wasn't feeding her kids an helping her.
I didn't even knew what was wrong to her...I get it now, she was one of these losers

$543 for a child's bday party? Omg. Single mom on a budget here and I rent a local indoor pool for $50. That covers 30 kids lmao. And that's good all year round, summer or winter lol.

My husbands sisters do that!! They will say they’re taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese’s and we have to pay for our own kids and still buy a gifts! Like what?!

5:30 as someone who lived similarly to this for years.. don't put yourselves through this. I know it's hard when it's family, but FAMILY shouldn't treat you like that. You should never have to be miserable in your own home. That's the one place you shouldn't feel that way.

And for my own story.. I didn't even own the house. That fact makes this story a million times crazier to me. But either way, you shouldn't have to live like this. Ever since myself and my few family members who were living together went out separate ways, ALL of our relationships have gotten so much better like I have no problems with them at all nowadays.

Just don't do it to yourselves. If you're ever in this situation, put your foot down. Go file for a legit eviction notice. Or if you really can't bring yourself to do it, threaten it and tell them to get with the program or else lol

I feel like people are giving out those low rates because that's what a daycare would charge for a daily rate but... a daycare takes care of 6-12 kids per each teacher and has lots of other staff to support taking care of food etc lol

when I lived in California I saw an ad looking for someone to walk dogs n demanding a degree as well not to mention he wasn't exactly paying a million bucks a day - I had to call n ask if he'd lost his mind - he laughed n said his phone was ringing off the wall with people wanting the job - I don't know who's worse 🙄
