Jajce Waterfall - Bosnia & Herzegovina

Join David’s Been Here as they travel all around Bosnia and Herzegovina in search of the coolest destinations and best day trips. In this travel short, David brings us 1-1.5 hours south of Banja Luka to the Medieval Ottoman town of Jajce. One of the ancient capitals of the Bosnian Kingdom (dating back to the 14th century) this city was captured by both the Ottomans and Hungarians, with some incredible historic sites to show for it. If you’re taking this unique day trip from Banja Luka, make sure you wander the medieval town, visit the city wall and castle… but don’t miss the Jajce Waterfall- it’s by far the coolest attraction in the region! If you’re looking for a quick visit in Bosnia & Herzegovina that combines rich history, local culture and beautiful landscapes/surroundings, a trip to Jajce is the perfect outing!

Wrong historical facts! Jajce is medieval Bosnian town, not Ottoman! Ottomans took control over Jajce in 15th century. The last bosnan king Stjepan Tomašević was executed there. Please don't give incorrect information. All theese cities existed before Ottoman empire arrived her.

Home town of mine is not a Ottoman city. It's build by Croat Duke Hrvoje Vukcic Hrvatinic. Ok, fact first then you have a story!

Royal Town Jajce was builded by Ban of Bosnia Hrvoje Hrvatinić(literally translated Ban of Bosnia Croat Croatison) and after him Banja Luka got its name, which means Ban's Harbor(Banja Luka)!
He was blood related to House of Kotromanić, from which Queen of Bosnia Katarina Kotromanić was declared Blessed by Catholic Church, while Polish-Lithuanian Queen Jadviga Kotromanić was declared a Saint!

Don't forget Bosnian Kingdom belongs to Lord Jesus Christ as it was given in last will by Blessed Katarina Kotromanić on her deathbed in Catholic monastery for nuns in Rome!

*BiH=Bog i Hrvati!*

*Blessed is Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings!*
