Step 1. Buy K 9 Corrector in the hose end sprayer. Step 2. Pour the K 9 Corrector down the sink. Step 3. Use the remaining hose end sprayer to water down the grass every time Fido pees. Problem solved. 😀

I literally started spraying a bit of water where my dog pees after they are released into the yard. About 5 seconds of spray with the garden hose. Almost 100% prevents any burn. Zeon.

When I heard you were going to cover this I went back and read the article before your video. NCSU does reference it in their dog urine publication but you're right, most say urea or salts. Very interesting stuff and you make a great point about how practical and applicable this study this is. Something we see ALL THE TIME in residential lawns.

I have a male GSP who is raw fed who urinates in the same area about 80% of the time in fescue grass in addition to plants which include my wife’s prized Hibiscus which have gone undamaged, I have never tried rinsing with a hose

I do agree with you that the problem is lactic acid which my dog never ingests, lactic acid is used in dry dog food as a preservative and flavor enhancer

I never knew Doc’s first name was Steve, always assumed it was Doc…LOL

An old farmer in Northern Oklahoma told me once if your dog pisses on the yard and it’s greener in the area the urine gathered then you need nitrogen fertilizer if the dog pees in the yard and there’s circular dead spots then your nitrogen levels are sufficient lol about as anecdotal as it gets 😂
