I bought the C8 55 a few years ago, and I'm still loving it. These new models are even more impressive. OLED is awesome for so many games.

For those that don't know, the 48" and 55" versions of this TV are much cheaper if price is a sticking point, they are £1500 and £1900 respectively IIRC.

It isn’t the first in the world. The 2019 B9 and C9 also have G Sync.

Just want to add some extra information regarding this TV. NOTE: Im not trying dissuade you from buying this TV, it's extra information for informational purposes.
This TV is getting a patch later on to enable Freesync.
it has a max HDMI bandwidth of 40Gb/s which only enables 4k/120 in the 4:4:4 chroma subsampling 10-bit profile (not a huge deal to most people since this is only a 10-bit TV), the LG C9 has the full 48Gb/s comparitively and can access the 4K/120 4:4:4 chroma subsampling in the 12-bit profile. again, this is a 10-bit TV, so you are not missing much. This is a sticking point for LG not being upfront with this information.
This TV and the C9 both suffer from slightly elevated black levels in game mode compared to say, eco mode. LG is aware and currently investigating the issue.
Peak brightness on OLEDS do not get as bright as Samsung QLEDs. If you are looking for a TV with super bright whites during specific movie scenes, then OLEDS fall short. This TV doesnt reach 500 lumens. (QLEDs get over 1k, and other brands have managed higher).
OLEDs shine in darker environments. If you are using this in an environment where the room can be fairly dark, then this TV will deliver in spades.
Again, not trying to dissuade anyone from buying this TV, just making users aware that the TV is not perfect. I have this TV still in the box and will be setting it up soon.

Imagine being Kratos, reviewing a TV whilst playing a game with yourself in it?

I have the C9 Oled and it’s an amazing price of tech. This CX looks like a nice upgrade for someone in need of a new high end tv

PS5 + LG CX OLED = BEST HOLIDAY EVER!

I stupidly held off on the LG C9 last year, but I won’t make that same mistake again this year with the LG CX.

The C9 is a great alternative. I got mine for a thousand bucks. And that one also has HDMI 2.1. And lacks no features besides 120Hz BFI.
So with it being effectively the same product it is a much better value.

Imagine playing Ghost of Tsushima on this.

Had no idea Arekkz had reviewed this TV. I got one myself end of last month and I love it. Just happened to see this pop up in my recommended.

Been playing games on my 65" Samsung KS8000 QLED TV for a few years now and especially since discovering Active Motion Plus (which sciencmagically simulates 120hz output from 30 or 60fps) I have stopped paying attention to people who say that TVs are not good for gaming. My experience suggests you just have to do your research before getting your TV. I did 3-5 months of research before picking up my QLED, I would definitely have gone for an LG OLED had they not been upwards of $6000 for the C6, $7000 for the E6 and $8000 for the B6 and G6 or they had gone on sale at the time I got the Samsung. Put into context my 65" Samsung KS8000 cost me $3000. But like I said, if the LG C6 or E6 OLED were even $3500 at the time, I would have bought the OLED TVs instead

OLED definitely is better for gaming naturally at higher refresh rates. But Samsung QLEDs are now getting that HDMI 2.1. VRR FreeSync 120hz treatment making them more all round TVs than the LG OLEDs. But LG OLED is the best for gaming and movies in dark rooms.

From my experience, I find that having such a big screen and being 4K changes the way you play games and the type of games you play. Gaming becomes less about twitch shooting and more of a cinematic experience and you start noticing things about the game world. So much so that you slow down and actually end up not caring about the frame rates or any of the things you do on the monitors. In fact, after playing on my QLED TV for so long, I can't play games like Star Citizen, The Tomb Raider Trilogy, Project Cars 2, Grid, The Witcher 3, Metro Exodus, Resident Evil 2 and 3, BioShock Infinite, Alien, Pro Evolution Soccer, and I will definitely be playing CyberPunk 2077 on the TV with HDR and Ray Tracing turned on. I would definitely not accept any screen resolution below 4K for playing triple-A games now unless I had no choice. In fact the only games I would play now on a PC monitor (and I have 4K monitors) are things like Cities Skylines, the Sims, Tropicao, and games like The Elder Scrolls where the visual quality or the art style is just so jarring that it is not ideal for 4K viewing especially on larger screens. The larger screens at 4K give you a much more immersive experience that you start to notice anything off about the rendering resolution. To the point where you will even start streaming 4K content even if it is to a 1080p or 1440p display.
