They are always a team of 7 to 10 people. For example, in this video, everyone who is playing is part of the same team, pretending to be ordinary people to lure others in—just like bait on a fishing hook. The first time you play, you’ll win to tempt you into betting more money. But once you increase your bet, they’ll trick you using various tactics. Everyone in the group is involved in the scam, pretending to be helpful by giving you advice, but it’s all a coordinated effort to empty tourists’ pockets.

Just today, I saw this group on the bridge in front of the Berliner Dom. When I warned an English couple not to play because it was a scam, suddenly eight of them came at me aggressively.

I really don’t understand why the Berlin police aren’t doing anything to stop them.
