the most unrealistic thing about this is them still being friends in 50 years

And if that company fails, the end result is $0

The ongoing sell-off in bonds and worries about an escalation in Middle East hostilities are weighing on the market as it waits for Big Tech companies to fire up earnings this season, thus I'm looking for companies to put in $100k for a start. Just not sure of my picks

Even if bond yields are rising while stock prices are decreasing, the markets are still a bit skeptical as to whether the federal reserve will stick to its goal to raise interest rates until inflation is under control. Would it be best to sell my $401k worth of equities, what is the best way to profit from the current down market.

Let’s play a game: name a stock that will compound 8% every year for the next 50yrs

The all hinges on the unrealistic expectations that you don’t sell you bond like selling them when interest rates fall that’s how you make money with a bond and the 4% is guaranteed it’s basically dividend and then rather then them going up or down in price based on the business performance they go up or down based on interest rates, among other things, but mainly interest rates

It's really way more intricate than this. For one, I would never keep bonds for that long. Shares yes

The true question is: how do you stay so young after 50 years...

comparing is baised:

Risky volatile

Bonds is less volatile despite lower returns, while all-stock portfolio is very volatile and does not guarantee anything. It can up, down, or remains the same. The 'telling 3% of the story' kind of video is damn annoying.
