Despite your criticism, I really enjoy Doomtown; the complexity does differentiate it from other collectible card games.

the game had almost nothing to do with luck - this is one of the most incredibly intricate deck builders out there and has insane strategy that shifts depending on the factions you use and how you play the cards. sound like both of you played about three games and said screw it.
