2004 Hasbro Xevoz - Retro Showcase #14

In this Retro Showcase Dan looks at a line from 2004 that came and went so quickly that if you weren't paying attention you missed it. It was called Xevoz, which were a descendant of Stikfas.

Dan still feels a hole in his heart from the failure of this line but at least he can now talk about it on the internet.

Can't believe I never knew about these toys; I would have freaking loved these as a kid!

This is STILL one of my all-time favorite toylines. Way more fun than it had any right to be.

Took me quite some time to figure that Xevoz Showdown was actually an advergame for toys that I'm pretty sure weren't even sold in France.

if someone started a kickstarter for a second round of these, I will gladly lay down some serious cash.

Xeovz toys are awesome, twenty years later I’m letting my kids play/build with them and they think they’re better than anything on the market today.
Who else still has the sticker sheets intact 😂?

These toys were some of the _coolest_ looking toys on the market as a kid, man. I remember going to KB Toys and picking up as many as I could.
What an awesome trip down memory lane. I can't believe how expensive they are now!

I had these. The wolf, the cowboy, and the robot, and the cybercop. I loved these things and were disappointed when there were no more

I have the Bug and Ninja kit... well, most of it. I lost parts the day I bought it. I will be hunting as many down as I can. I loved this toy!

These guys have always been in the back of my head for years. I love the hyperfuries most of all, but them and the Neo Sapiens inspired a good portion of my writings when I was younger ☺☺

Xevoz was my childhood, and its characters still influence my creative projects to this day. If they did a new series, it would be cool to see a game with RFID integration into the torso pieces, maybe, but would honestly just buy them EXACTLY as they were, too. I think I got to see 2 waves and ads for the third before they petered out.

In 2004 I was 9, so Xevoz were a BIG deal to me, so fun toys to play with.

I remember I had the Skeleton and Bug man when I was 8, I always wondered about them since I lost them both at a kids party :/ took me forever to find out what they were called, but I am glad i can finally connect some blurred lines from my childhood.

Ha awesome I totally forgot about these. I had two xevos and a bunch of stickfas. Wish I still had them now.

The online game that allows you to buy parts in the website to build your own virtual Xevoz figure and do battle with them is THE SHIT. God I miss this thing.

Where this all stems from: Atomoton's Z•G, and the middleman Shadowrun Duels, means Hasbro saispd- "cheaper, broader, and ACTUALLY for kids this time". I just found out about these a few days ago. TheToy Collectors are definitely fueling the pricing, the game-enthusiasts are not paying those prices.

I think I'm the only one who actually played the board game and found it entertaining...

Anyways, I miss these guys! Got Inferno Fury, Hemo Goblin and Moon Stalker as a birthday gift when I was 6, and since them I've been hunting down these guys which is very difficult here in Mexico; though I've gotten ahold of an Alpha Ranger, an Omega Guard, a Shock Berserker, a Runeslayer, a Firedrake and a Thunder Shaman.

I used to collect these toys between 4th Grade and 5th Grade.
