Routing, it's definitely pronounced Routing. Great project, glad to see it coming together.

Dear Chris, Thank you for sharing another truly captivating update on the PCB ESP32 ZX Spectrum project. Here is my encouraging gush if you may bear with such! Your attention to detail and careful design work is truly commendable, making the entire journey of watching this project unfold an absolute delight. The moment you discussed the expansion port at 5:15 in the video, my imagination was ignited by the endless possibilities it presents. It's truly tantalizing to think about the potential that this feature holds for the project. The beauty of your project and the video itself is truly remarkable. Your dedication to keeping the momentum going and maintaining a captivating and focused approach is truly admirable. It's clear that a tremendous amount of effort and passion goes into every aspect of your work, and it's deeply appreciated by all of us who are following your progress. A friend and I used to discuss woodworking and networking, often swapping between the two subjects in the same evening. We settled on root-ing was LAN, r-out-ing was woodwork as it got really confusing otherwise. RIP Bob; it would have been fun to include pcb routing, which is clearly pronounced "scone".

"Root"-ing (tee-hee) when it involves paths of movement and "rowt"-ing when it involves cutting. Therefore I've got a network "root"er and used to deliver newspapers on my paper "root". I will utterly "rowt" my enemies with my power "rowt"er.

It *is* lovely. This is a very interesting project. Thanks for sharing this video. Also, depending on where you’re from, it’s either pronounced “routing”, or, alternately, “routing”. :D

Great project! Love seeing that the keyboard is working out. Do you mind sharing with the multiplex chip is?

When using all 14 touch pins on the esp 32 S3, I get some werd things going on when wifi search was enabled. And when stopping searching, the weird readings (some pins go up and down in a period, but only when a completely, different pin was touched) are still there until a reset.

why not use an i2c touch sensor with 10 channels? mpr121 also cheap as chips

My understanding is that those analog pins are capactive touch, but why didnt you just use the same digital pin matrix with diodes as seen on the original ? No need for those multiplxers ?

But your approach is quite neat, how many gpio did u connect to each mux ic ?

Are you putting the Shift key on separate multiplexer pin i.e. outside the keyboard matrix?

Does PcbWay have small switches that would allow me to make a small qwerty keyboard ? (almost as small as smartphone keyboard)

Nice project!
How did you made your colorful PCB? Is it printed on top or just a sticker?

Why haven't you called it ESPectrum?

I remember the bbc had a 2 key “rollover”.

when you are doing tracks it's pronounced 'rooting' when you are cutting grooves it's the one that rhymes with 'out', it's the same as a road is a route (root)
Americans will tell you otherwise, one of their famous songs is route 66 which they pronounce root, yet everything else is r-out
i did a vid on this (router router)

I would say routing as [ruːtɪŋ], as routing [raʊtɪŋ] means to chase someone away. At least in British English. American English might be different.

Route like fruit = British english

Route like shout = American english

Route like = Enochian english

hope this helps
