DFSP patient questions answered by a sarcoma pathologist

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare sarcoma arising in the skin. Since April 2014, I have volunteered with DFSP patient support groups on Facebook. The patients arranged a "real life" meet up in Paignton, England, in September 2016, and they invited me to come and meet them in person and speak to them about our work together. In this video, I answer various questions about DFSP asked by the patients via the Facebook support group. I apologize for the dark lighting; we were in a large open room overlooking the sea and the sun had just set.

There’s a fb group? Anybody know the name? I have DSFP in my neck. I have had it for like ten years. I didn’t think to have it checked out because it didn’t hurt or itch or anything. I’m glad I finally did though.

I actually have this, I head today with the test results. It's on my scalp, above my ear a bit to the back of my head. This Friday I have to go back and they're going to cut it open again and take a bigger area of tissue out to make sure everything's clean. It's so crazy, it was always a lump on my head they thought it was a lipoma or something not bad. And it didn't hurt or anything, I've had it for as long as I know lol. But it actually grew bigger since last year so I decided to go to the doctor and now it turns out it's this
