The Marantz Model 10 Reference Integrated Amplifier is the most powerful single-box amp the company has ever made. Co-developed with Purifi, the power amp section delivers 250 watts into 8 ohms and 500 watts into 4 ohms with SOTA noise and distortion performance. It’s also gorgeous and weighs a hefty 74 pounds despite being a Class D, high efficient design. The entire 10 Series from Marantz is designed to be the very best in performance, build quality and aesthetics. At this price point it would be hard to choose this over Luxman. I prefer Yamaha's approach with the C-5000 M-5000 stack but it would be interesting to compare them side by side.

I would like to see the difference between measurements on the PM10 vs Model 10 amp. I would also like a listening test to see if any obvious differences between Hypex Ncore modules vs Purifi modules. I suspect they may measure a bit differently but no audible sound difference to the human ear. After all they both use HDAM3

No desire for room correction here. These are beautiful pieces. Like to hear more about the DAC architecture in the two sources (assuming the SACD isn’t a transport at that price point).

It’s interesting they anyone on here would complain about the price. In the 2CH world (of today anyway) this is mid-fi. But undoubtably well engineered mid-fi. Can’t wait to hear it.

I love Marantz. I have been loyal since my first piece over 15 years ago. It stinks that I will never hear these now that Masimo owns them and raised all their prices.

My PM11S3 (Class A/B) sounded better than my PM10 (Class D), so I sold the newer one and kept the older one until today.

Even in the beginning had two of them for Bi-Amping, but that didn’t work with phono and the Marantz PM11S3 phono stage is incredible perfect for my Benz Wood SL MC and was also sounding better than the PM10 one…

I would bet, that the new Model 10 will even further follow the path away from sounding beautiful to sounding modern (less emotional, more neutral, too accurate and with too much treble). What in this case would be great for my pocket 🎉😅

I'm sure it performs really well, but you are really paying for luxury. My NAD M33 retail is a 1/3rd of the Marantz M10. It uses Purifi modules with similar performance. It has a built-in streamer. It has DIRAC Live Room Correction.
