That's what happenes with us, we pray for things and when God takes too long ( his time is not like ours) We go ahead of God and it doesn't work out for us.

And then Jesus is lead into the desert to fast or go without bread for 40 days to accomplish that which the Israelites could not by trusting GOD.
What they couldn't do, Jesus did on our behalf. 🙌👏👌🙂👍👊

I’m guilty of not trusting God. At 58, I’m learning 😅

To be fair, God told Jacob to go down to Egypt during that last famine.

Wow, wow, WOW! That’s what I said after watching this! Such great insight into just what God had been saying over and over to His hardheaded children! And this can still be applied to today! History does repeat itself! And mankind will always be errant children in need of a Father God!

Interesting perspective. I see how you could make it preach. But an angel also told Joseph to take Mary and Jesus down into Egypt to escape from Harrod. Egypt is not the problem when he Lord leads.

We are currently under famine, and it started with covid19. God has blessed me as Isaac. I pray that God's mercies continues to be our portion.

God already predicted to Abraham that his discends will be enslaved !! . ~~Genesis 15:13
Then the Lord said to him, ( abraham) “Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there."

I like these guys, but they mess up Egypt. Joseph was forced down to Egypt. And it turned out to be salvation for his family. You are hard pressed to explain how God didn't use Egypt to create the nation of Isreal.

So the gist is you're not supposed to save up for bad times because bad times are gonna happen. Being hungry is just one way to suffer for Jesus. Why do people need to believe in God that make people suffer. Thankfully most people have a kinder God that's not represented in any of the holy books. Remember if you don't choose to have an imaginary jesus she'll burn a nail after you die you'll suffer forever. I know it's not a jewish concept but that's the promise that Christianity brings.
