after core items, hullbreaker has been really good for me. just the right amount of tankiness, damage and split push potential then titanic for the active, aoe and extra hp if needed or kraken if ahead.

I would just add also hullbreaker into the item list, its insanely underrated on yi, since your Q procs it and the damage of it as 3rd/4th gets really close to kraken slayer

- steraks can also be a really nice survive item

a better build is full crit yi. as crit scales very strongly with yi's passive, it can even crit on structures. infinity edge, phantom dancer, yun tal and either armor pen crit or collector depending on enemy team. get a blood thirster in there and you have massive sustain

the main reason yi mains go attack speed boots is because it's a fast item powerpike in the early game

i dont see hail of blades as a strong rune as its only relevant if you're using a lethality/crit build which is also not that strong and falls off quick

Upgraded version of attack speed boosts grants 15% ms on hit if you combine it with nasters ult you can stick to any target or disengage easily.

okay but hear me out, BRK > GUINSOO >HULLBREAKER is just nuts for the recent patch because not only your damage is high, but the hull breaker procs at guinsoo too. which gives your basic attacks more damage. after going hull breaker just go titanic. you'd be tanky and would go outplaying tanks and squishies since yi is pretty much strong at duels with his ult

My build if you want to try (Mid Diamond for a while now): BoTRK, Rageblade, Terminus, last 3 flex but I do like Yun Tal/Kraken, GA/DD & Maw

Boots: Berserker, Tabi or Merc, but late game 6 items I'll remove it for 1 of the items I mentioned above.

About the runes: Lethal Tempo, Triump, Alacrity, Last Stand, Absolute Focus & Gathering Storm (I want to keep a safe option if I can't have a good start).

sinerias (best yi world) almost always goes hullbreaker 3rd and titanic hydra 4th. with kraken and wits being flex
