This WAS the best scene, becuase there's nothing that truly solidifies the feeling of "I am permanently trapped in this new situation, I will not be going back to how things were" quite like the point at which you have to eat a meal there.

I hope in the future we look back at this first episode, and realize how much emotion this show gave us. This was a great episode, and I'm along with the ride.

Honestly, the most unnerving and sad thing about this for me is the food. The food is intentionally so low-poly and just...unreal looking- and it's most definately done on purpose. After this long, horrible day- she is rewarded with the idea of food, but not even with an actual, real, nourishing meal. Everyone else is talking around her and barely eating- probably because either the food doesn't taste real OR they've given up on the idea of eating, they're at the point of accepting it's really not necessary to their survival. And that's when the poor thing smiles, because what else can she do? She doesn't even get to eat real food anymore- that's one of the many comforts of reality that she is now denied. She's trapped here, in this saccharine technicolor nightmare, without any sort of thing to comfort her...and everyone around her is so conditioned to accept this that it's become normal to them...as it'll eventually become normal to her.

The poor things, it's truly a tragic way to end an episode.

I can't describe it but when she looks down to the digital food, I can just feel her break. It's unreal. So much emotion even before that crescendo.

Bruh, there is NOTHING I would want changed about this pilot. The color schemes, the personality, the behaviors, they're all perfect.

We realize that Pomni can't leave at the same time she does, which makes this scene so much more impactful, along with the triumphant, almost mockingly joyous scoring in the background. An absolutely brilliant way to end an exceptional pilot!

I have had mental breakdowns just like this. Its not always going beserk and throwing things and such. Sometimes you just look completely blank, consumed by all the bad thoughts and not really showing it. And you just slowly lose your mind while everyone acts like its all normal around you. And I have done the forced smile too.
So the scene just felt so...real to me.

One of the biggest reasons this scene is incredible is the music and the atmosphere. GLITCH did an amazing job on this and i cant wait to see the more episodes to come!

this scene hits so much harder when you realize that that bright light she saw in the void before Caine grabbed her was most likely the exit to the real world. she was literally inches away from freedom

the ending music is actually so fire, it captures her absolute dread so well, while also saying how theres more to come and that this is just the beginning. Such a good track

I love the slightly off-tune melody that plays, it conveys so well the realisation that’s starting to kick in for Pomni- nothing will be the same again.
