How to make an RC flying wing

Let's build an airplane that has no definite fuselage. An RC flying wing, some people call it zagi wing but it's the same, these kind of aircraft are very unstable and need a special airfoil to help have a stable flight, so CG is critical as well to help, I struggled a bit balancing and experimenting with it and its stability, but in the end I managed to have a decent stable flight.

-Foam...You can use any kind of foam, if you use epp sheets then the building technic is different.
-Epoxi glue.
-Wood rods.
-Balsa wood.
-Colored tape or packaging tape.

IMHO, this is better than 95% of similar build videos I have seen. You keep the action moving, your narration is helpful and lighthearted, nice touches of humor, appropriate and tasteful use of sound... overall impressive, inspiring, and excellent.

I am using mode one, Japan hand, so I can launch with my right and have surface control on my left hand. Mode 2 has a bit of challenge especially when maiden and one man launch . Nice work!

Nice! Winglets are more efficient and stable than fins, it seems that your wing CG was a bit too backwarded, this is why the wing flew better without the winglets (it pushed CG forwards).

Launching a Wing... AKA as choose between good launch and you fingers !! XD

And honestly I always launch mine this way, but I launch it with my arm over my head, this way it is higher, so glider longer, and let time to grab the throttle!


The stability difference with/out the things at the ends of the wing is incredible !! :o

Until you removed your wingtips, you had CG way far back. Wings are super sensitive to CG, so removing wingtips moved cg a little forward wich helped with stability a lot. Adding fpv also helped with that:) anyway, nice job!

I Boomerangt my Wing at the first time i flew it and it worked really well! and it was my first Flight also!
