Puebla truly is a hidden gem... I love balance between the historical aspects and how modern the city is. The food scene is outstanding and the people are very friendly. The weather is consistently moderate but it does rain a lot during rainy season.... and Im not talking about a normal rain.... it comes down in buckets!! I'm from Hawaii(so I know a bit about rain), live in the SF Bay Area and lived in Puebla (Lomas) for a year (2018-19). During my time in Mexico, I visited over 20 cities/towns with the intention of deciding if the place is meets what Im looking for to retire. A few definitely did but when factoring in cost of living, amenities, food scene, comforts I'm used to.... Puebla won over and over. The game plan is to retire as soon as possible and move back to Love me some cemitas!!!

I'm mexican and I would prefer 10000x Puebla over San Miguel de Allende. The are many amazing cities that are treasures like Mérida, Puebla, Cuernavaca, etc... Puebla It is a jaw-dropping experience.

Well, you did it again! Every time I start zeroing in on a place to live, you show us yet another. I think I'll just have to spend a few years checking out all your recommendations for myself.
Thanks for your work.

Hola from BC, Canada.
I dream of returning to Mexico after visiting for 3 weeks in 2018. I want to live there, so am interested in smaller places, not big cities. 😃

Gracias, Mariana!

Every time you do a video, it adds another city I will consider. Definitely focusing on the Centro Highlands. Keep up the great content.

Oh my gosh what a coincidence. I just watched itchy boots YouTube channel and she’s traveling from South America to Alaska on a motorcycle. And today she stopped in Puebla. And I told my wife I think this is the most beautiful area that I have seen in Mexico.

OK those Samita‘s look a lot like a tenderloin sandwich here in Indiana. You’re really making me want to find out more about this place.

Itchy boots also drove by the blue house from the artist Frida Kahlo.

We took the bus from CDMX to Puebla in summer 2019. Very much enjoyed it and also visited Cholula. Beautiful views from there!

Great video! I'm curious about Puebla. Some how in some way it is kind of not talked about a lot in spite of it being the 4th largest city in country? Big food town, good weather, plenty of culture and history, decent cost of living in spite of great amenities. I have a feeling it is one of the better places to live in Mexico. Planning on exploring soon can't wait.

I’m SO glad I found your channel! My husband and I are seriously considering retiring to MX some day. I have to say, your videos are making the choice of location in MX a tough one. After seeing your videos, I feel like we should spend at least a month in each of the top spots before making a decision. Too fun!

Hello Mariana! I became really interested in Mexico when I found out how beautiful it is and how much it has to offer for people of all ages. I hope one day I'll be able to move to Mexico and live a dream life after a life dedicated to working for society and family and less for myself. Your voice is also warm and welcoming, with a soothing effect on me. Thank you for the useful and inspiring information that are so precious for me and others like me in need of a fulfilling life.
