We've had 3 of the exact same kind of pumps you have in the video that quit working and always bought a new one. This year we have the FlowClear model 58758E, and it quit working when I found this video. I took it apart, dried it out, used compressed air to spray it out... NOTHING. I did that about 6 times yesterday with zero results. Left it apart overnight, put it back together and it has been working ever since. You're a genius and saved me at least another $200 and the summer fun. 👊 You're the man!

Thank you. All I knew was that Isaias came through my way and knocked my power out. I thought it blew up my pump/filter. Funny, without watching this I thought to myself I bet you there’s water in my adapter (it was out all winter lol). Popped a quick search into YouTube, your video popped up, and wham, same issue. Thank you sooo much. We had a really heavy rain today and the pump stopped working. I rechecked the extension cord and the GFCI plug everything was fine but no power.

I unscrewed the cap and here comes the water.

I am going to cut a hole in the opposite sides of a plastic container and place the plug in it with the cover on it to help protect it from happening again.
